my phone isn't working and so my health alert monitor keeps beeping and it can't call the health alert company saying that i need help. the pca who's assigned to me is keeping another resident company in his room because he's on bed rest- so she's not helping me hook up a new phone. she just said to maurice, "ah.. baby, i don't deal with phones."
this morning, the overnight staff worker, mike, said to me with a smart tone, "you can't do anything for yourself." after i asked him to pull the side rail because i couldn't do it for myself. it was crushing my cup holder when it fell down. now that i think about it, isn't it his job to help me with that kind of stuff? he always says to me that it's not his job to do things. these are the kind of people that work as my pca's. always saying that it's not their job to do things that will help me. maurice said to me on the phone (before my phone went retarded), "i hope he gets in a wheelchair in the future and wants help but no one will help him." about mike- which is true and i had to laugh at the thought of that.
